Individuals that are facing any number of complex health issues often find themselves in need of safe and secure temporary housing. Having that source of stability in housing makes it possible for them to stabilize other aspects of their lives while dealing with those health issues and, when the time comes, begin the process of transitioning into permanent homes.
Whether they are relocating to Kansas City from surrounding states in search of medical expertise and supportive services, fleeing domestic violence, or working to escape homelessness SAVE, Inc.’s Stepping Stones transitional housing program provides a supportive place where lives can be rebuilt.
Stepping Stones provides individuals with 12 months of housing in a fully-furnished studio apartment, as well as financial assistance to help remove existing barriers to permanent housing. Clients living in Stepping Stones housing also meet with a Housing Specialist who will help them make and execute a plan to obtain permanent housing. This program is truly the step up that so many individuals in our community need to escape homelessness and improve their health.
