Available Volunteer Opportunities
Landscaping – With 7 properties to manage, we don’t quite have enough green thumbs to go around! SAVE, Inc. is always looking for extra hands and supplies to help turn our plain yards into curbside beauties. We welcome all types of landscaping supplies and skill levels, from basic weeding and pruning to more extravagant landscaping.
Professional Services – Examples include anything web-related, estate planning or planned giving services, financial planning for residents, and skilled labor activities such as plumbing, painting, etc.
Committee Service – We are always looking for folks to help serve on committees – Development, Programs, Finance, Event, etc.
Administrative – Database entry, filing, greeting clients, assistance with appointments and scheduling. These are all tasks that would help our Housing Specialists work to help our clients in the most organized and timely manner possible.
Party Planning – A new volunteer opportunity, this might be the most fun! We would love to plan a get-together at Cropsey Place once or twice a month, if only we had the time. We need people who are willing to plan a one or two-hour activity. Movie night would require only a DVD, snacks & drinks; if you know how to shuffle, cards may be your activity of choice; if you’re crafty, a scrapbooking party might be in order. Nothing fancy is required! We will get the word out to the residents while you plan the party!
